Former captain of the Pakistani Cricket Team Shahid Afridi has contracted the novel Coronavirus. Boom Boom took to twitter on Saturday that he has tested positive for Covid-19, test he took after suffering from an illness since Thursday.<\/p>\n

40-year old Afridi also sought the blessings and prayers for his speedy recovery. \u201cI\u2019ve been feeling unwell since Thursday; my body had been aching badly. I\u2019ve been tested and unfortunately I\u2019m covid positive. Need prayers for a speedy recovery, InshaAllah,\u201d Afridi wrote on twitter.<\/p>\n

Shahid Afridi has found himself involved in social activities during the pandemic, in his tireless venture to aid the people of Pakistan in despair due to the country wide lock down.<\/p>\n

Cricketer Mohammad Hafeez took his reaction to the news on twitter, saying that Afridi was a “fighter by nature. I am sure you will fight the virus and will defeat it soon.”<\/p>\n
