{"id":14561,"date":"2020-05-17T13:58:08","date_gmt":"2020-05-17T08:58:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=14561"},"modified":"2020-05-17T13:58:08","modified_gmt":"2020-05-17T08:58:08","slug":"jordan-warns-israel-of-massive-conflict-over-annexation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/14561","title":{"rendered":"Jordan warns Israel of massive conflict over annexation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>BERLIN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Jordanian king on Friday warned that if Israel annexes the West Bank,\u00a0it would lead to a \u201cmassive conflict\u201d with Jordan.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Israel really annexes the West Bank in July, it would lead to a massive conflict with the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan,\u201d King\u00a0 Abdullah II said in an interview with Der Spiegel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cLeaders who advocate a one-state solution do not understand what that would mean,\u201d he said, adding that there would be more chaos and extremism in the region.<\/p>\n<p>Israel is expected to carry out the annexation on\u00a0July\u00a01, as agreed between Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and head of Blue and White party Benny Gantz.<\/p>\n<p>Palestinian officials have threatened to abolish bilateral agreements with Israel if it goes ahead with the annexation plans, which will undermine the two-state solution.<\/p>\n<p>The annexation comes as part of US President Donald Trump\u2019s so-called Deal of the Century plan, which was announced on Jan. 28.
