{"id":14468,"date":"2020-05-12T20:18:01","date_gmt":"2020-05-12T15:18:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=14468"},"modified":"2020-05-12T21:51:47","modified_gmt":"2020-05-12T16:51:47","slug":"planet-delivers-its-strongest-warning-to-date","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/14468","title":{"rendered":"Planet delivers its strongest warning to date"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>ANKARA, <\/strong>The UN Environment Program (UNEP) on Tuesday issued a response to the novel coronavirus saying the earth has given its strongest warning so far.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;UNEP\u2019s response covers four areas: Helping nations manage COVID-19 waste, delivering a transformational change for nature and people, working to ensure economic recovery packages create resilience to future crises, and modernizing global environmental governance,&#8221; it said in a statement.<\/p>\n<p>The response is another step of the UN body toward mapping zoonotic threats, protecting the environment as well as reducing the risk of future pandemics, diseases like COVID-19.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn COVID-19, the planet has delivered its strongest warning to date that humanity must change,\u201d Inger Andersen, UNEP executive director, said in the statement.<\/p>\n<p>After originating in China last December, COVID-19 has spread to at least 187 countries and regions.
