A U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer shot and killed his wife and their two sons just days after a flowing post on his Facebook page about their recent trip to Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom.<\/p>\n<p>The only survivor in the deadly shooting was the family, Shih Tzu, Fluffy,\u00a0 The bodies were found during a wellness check on Thursday around 3 p.m., Sheriff John Mina said during a news conference. Concerned relatives said they hadn\u2019t seen the family in over a week and Almodovar\u2019s fellow agents reported that he had failed to show up for work.<\/p>\n<p>Folks were concerned about the safety and well-being of the occupants inside that house, Mina stated. Deputies forced entry into the family\u2019s residence in Orlando, where they discovered all four of them dead from gunshot wounds. Just days ahead of the attack, Almodovar posted on what appears to be his Facebook page about a recent family trip to Disney\u2019s Animal Kingdom,\u00a0People\u00a0reported.<\/p>\n<p>Family time\u2026we needed this..no school, no work, no adult bull**** just family time and enjoying life through eyes of kids\u2026 love you baby, he\u00a0wrote in his Facebook status update.<\/p>\n<p>The U.S. Customs and Border Protection officer, who was recently transferred to a new post in Jacksonville, also seemingly wrote a passionate tribute to his wife on Valentine\u2019s Day. Happy Valentine\u2019s Day to my forever Valentine!!! Marielis Soto-Almodovar.
