{"id":10105,"date":"2019-10-01T09:41:25","date_gmt":"2019-10-01T04:41:25","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/?p=10105"},"modified":"2019-10-01T09:41:25","modified_gmt":"2019-10-01T04:41:25","slug":"21-dead-as-bus-overturns-in-hilly-gujarat-of-india","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.vosa.tv\/eng\/archives\/10105","title":{"rendered":"21 Dead as Bus Overturns in Hilly Gujarat of India"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At least 21 passengers were killed and more than 50 others injured when a packed private luxury bus overturned in a hilly area in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat on Monday evening.<\/p>\n<p>The driver of the bus, carrying people home after visiting a temple, lost control on a slippery road in the hilly region of Trishulia Ghat due to heavy rain, according to the\u00a0 rescuers\u00a0 at the site.<\/p>\n<p>Banaskantha district SP Ajit Rajian said &#8220;The bus driver lost control due to heavy rain as the tyres slipped on the road when brakes were applied. We pulled out 53 persons alive from the bus using a crane.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>These injured passengers were referred to Danta town&#8217;s referral hospital and Palanpur civil hospital, added Rajian.<\/p>\n<p>According to officials, 35 of the 53 injured are in critical condition and referred to the civil hospital at Palanpur, the administrative headquarters of the district, from Danta.<\/p>\n<p>Trishulia Ghat is the same spot where nine people died in June last when a multi-utility vehicle overturned after its brakes failed at a sharp turn.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At least 21 passengers were killed and more than 50 others injured when a packed private luxury bus overturned in a hilly area in Banaskantha district of North Gujarat on Monday evening.
