At least 36 people died and 36 others were injured in east China when a packed coach with a flat tyre collided with a truck, authorities said Sunday.<\/p>\n

Investigators believe the accident in Jiangsu province happened when the bus, carrying 69 people, veered across a motorway because of a flat tyre.<\/p>\n

It then crashed into a lorry, which was said to be carrying three people and moving in the opposite direction.<\/p>\n

Deadly road accidents are relatively common in China, where traffic rules are often flouted.<\/p>\n

Nine people were seriously injured, 26 were slightly hurt and one was discharged from hospital.
\nThe Changchun-Shenzhen expressway reopened after eight hours of rescue work.<\/p>\n
