After a clash involving movie rights to comic book hero Spider-Man, Sony and Walt Disney agreed to keep the vigilante in Marvel’s cinematic universe.<\/p>\n
Spider-Man fans are rejoicing after Sony Pictures and Marvel announced a third Spider-Man film with Tom Holland, allaying fears that the two companies had parted company.<\/p>\n
Sony owns the rights to the Marvel character under a long-standing arrangement, while Disney controls others such as Iron Man, the Hulk, Captain Marvel and Black Panther.<\/p>\n
In August, Sony said it was disappointed\u00a0 \u00a0not to be working with Disney on future Spider-Man films amid reports that they could not reach a fresh deal over the web-slinging superhero.<\/p>\n
The news about the breakup had disappointed fans, who took to Twitter to start a campaign with hashtags \u201c#SaveSpiderMan\u201d and \u201c#SaveSpidey\u201d.<\/p>\n
