Coney Island Avenue named to Little Pakistan by New York city Government.

Brooklyn, New York,

Coney Island Avenue was named to Little Pakistan, after this, head of the Council of People’s Organizations-COPO, (a Pakistani community organization) Muhammad Rizvi, held a joint press conference outside his office with Consul General Ayesha Ali, New York City Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams and US officials.

Muhammad Rizvi chairman COPO, said in a press conference that “Coney Island Avenue has a new identity and we are proud of that identity”.

Public Advocate Jumaane D. Williams, US officials and Lieutenant Zaigham Abbas from the New York Police Department was also addressed the press conference

and said that naming Coney Island Avenue to Little Pakistan was a gift to Pakistani Americans.

Social and business personalities of the Pakistani community were also present on the occasion. At the end of the press conference, US officials appreciated the efforts of the COPO and presented certificates of appreciation to the organization members.
