A mourning procession was found in Hicksville area of Long Island on the occasion of Chehlum of the martyrs of Karbala. The procession was attended by a large number of mourners including youth, men and women, children and the elderly, while members of the Ahl-e-Sunnat school of thought also took part in the processions,demonstrating the unity of the Muslims and said that the love of Ahlul Bayt always keeps a person alive.The mourners carried Shabeeh in red, green and black colors in their hands during processions. The mourners also carried placards with the words, “Husseinism is a message of oppression, standing up against falsehood, supporting the oppressed and humanity.” The scholars said that eternal sacrifice made by martyrs of Karbala for the sake of Islam will never be forgotten in the world. The procession follows its prescribed course, but ends peacefully at its destination. At last of the procession, prayers were offered for the progress, stability and prosperity of Islamic world.
