Bollywod heroin summoned by Mumbai Police

Promotes communal tension between two groups

Mumbai,

Bollywood superstar Kangana Ranaut and her sister Rangoli Chandel have been summoned by Mumbai Police, asking them to appear before Bandra Police on 23-24 November.

The sister duo have been summoned over “objectionable comments on social media to spread communal tension between two groups.”

The case against them has been registered following Bandra Metropolitan Magistrate court order.

Earlier this month, the Mumbai Police had issued fresh summons to Ranaut and her sister to appear for investigations next week, however, the actress and her sister sought its postponement they were busy with their brother’s wedding at that time.

While Kangana had been called on November 9, Rangoli was asked to appear on November 10 before the Bandra Police.

Complainant Munawwar Ali Sahil A. Sayyed has filed a case against the sister duo under Indian Penal Code Sec. 124-A (sedition) apart from spreading communal hatred and falsehoods.

Sayyed, who is a Bollywood casting director and fitness trainer, had accused Kangana and Rangoli of defaming the film industry, portraying the people working in the industry in a bad light with claims of nepotism, drug addiction, communal bias, and trying to drive a wedge between artistes of different communities, calling them murderers, insulting religions, etc, on the social media and through public statements, reported IANS.

He had further accused the Ranaut sisters of trying to create a communal divide between Hindu-Muslim  through her objectionable comments.
