JALALABAD: A blast in a hotel in Jalalabad has killed three tribal leaders on Tuesday morning, Afghan media reported.
The blast went off in a hotel in PD2 area of Jalalabad, a city in the eastern part of Nangarhar province.
Provincial governor’s spokesman Attaullah Khogyani said the blast happened in a busy market area, close to a bus station, in the city.
At least three people were killed in the blast, two others were wounded in the blast, Khogyani added.
The nature of the blast is yet unknown, but according to local sources, substantial damage was caused to surrounding shops.
Both IS and Taliban are active in this part of the country but none has claimed the responsibility.
