CHRISTCHURCH – Pakistan team has beaten South Africa in a crunch encounter by 3 wickets to qualify for the tournament’s semifinal round.
The match was played at the Hagley Oval in Christchurch, New Zealand today.

Pakistan and Australia are only two sides to reach semifinals so far with Australia set to play the first semi on January 29. Pakistan will play it semifinal on January 30. The opponent teams for both games are yet to be decided.
Pakistan have taken the title twice, in 2004 and 2006.
