KARACHI: Pakistan’s leading actress Mahira Khan has demanded to include the subject of prevention from sexual assault in the Academic curriculum in order to protect children.
Talking to media outside Karachi Press Club, Mahira Khan said that people coming out after Kasur incident is a good step and protesting against child abuse is a message for those monsters that we are stronger than them.
She further added that the problem of children’s sexual exploitation should be resolved on a long-term basis and we should keep raising voice for such crimes.
“Now is the time to aware children about sexual abuse. For this matter articles about sexual abuse should be included in the academic curriculum of the schools,” Mahira said.
The actress added that a time will come when we won’t have to use hashtags like “Justice for Zainab.” We have to ensure that such incidents don’t happen again. “The rulers are responsible to provide justice to the people,” she expressed.
