New York: New York Mayor Eric Adams has said that Pakistanis living in New York are playing an important role in the development of New York.
He said this at an event held on the occasion of 76th Pakistan’s Independence Day at Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn.
A ceremony was held on the occasion of the Independence Day of Pakistan at Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.
The ceremony started with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by Naat in honor of Prophet Muhammad PBUH.
Later, national anthems of America and Pakistan were also presented.
New York Mayor Eric Adams, the special guest of the ceremony, was welcomed to the beat of the drum.
Addressing the event, Mayor Eric Adams said that Pakistanis living in New York have an important role in the construction and development of the city.
The people of the Pakistani community are educated and skilled in their fields. This is the reason why the advisor in my administration, Ahsan Chaghtai, is a Pakistani-American.
The family of late police officer Adeed Fayyaz was specially invited in the program of Jashan-e-Azadi. The organizers presented a relief cheque to the family of Shaheed Adeed Fayyaz and named the event in the name of Adeed Fayyaz.
On this occasion, the management of the event thanked the participating police officers from time to time.
On this occasion, awards were also given to various members of the community in recognition of their social services.
