
Brescia: Six Italian candidates of Pakistani origin also fielded in the forthcoming administrative polls in Brescia, Italy.
Pakistani candidate Chaudhry Talat Sultan, an ally of the left-wing People’s Democratic Party, held a corner meeting at Nawab Restaurant regarding the elections.
The corner meeting was attended by the Italian politician Cinque Palmi Brescia 2030 head Roberta Morelli and People’s Democratic candidate for mayor Laura Castelletti.
The program started traditionally with recitation of Holy Quran.
TheĀ event was administrated by well-known Pakistani journalist Mian Aftab and the personalities of Pakistani community Mian Imran Yunus Tipu Doga Arshad, King Imitaz Lala Chaudhry Mudassar Thala and candidate for Councilor Chaudhry Rashid Gujjar expressed their views.
Renowned politician Cinquepalmi discussed the importance of foreigners for Italy and their problems.
Roberta Morelli, head of Brescia 2030, in her speech praised the Pakistani culture food and its traditions and said that Pakistanis have an important role in the development of Italy which we cannot ignore.
We Pakistanis continue to play an important role in Italian politics. The well-known politician Laura Castelleti, candidate for mayor, said in her speech that Brescia is becoming a multicultural city, every fourth person is a foreigner.

At the end of the program, well-known journalist Mian Aftab Ahmed drew the attention of Italian politicians to why foreigners leave Italy after taking a foreign nationality.
