ACMW holds colourful Moon Night event in Brooklyn

Hundreds of people participated in the event and appreciated the efforts of ACMW

New York: American Council of Minority Women (ACMW) organized Moon Night event on Coney Island Avenue in Brooklyn.

Hundreds of people participated in the event and appreciated the efforts of ACMW.

Consul General of Pakistan in New York Ayesha Ali and thousands of people including American officials participated in the ceremony.

Hundreds of stalls of clothes, jewelery etc. were set up on the occasion of Moon night and Eidul Fitr.

The ceremony started with the recitation of the Quran followed by Naat-e-Rasool (SAW).

On this occasion, the chairperson of the American Council of Minority Women, Baza Roohi, thanked the community members and the American officials and wished the attendees a happy moon night and Eid.

US officials also appreciated Baza Roohi and her team in recognition of their services. The US officials participating in the event expressed their happiness to be a part of the event.

Shields were also given to American officials by AMCW at the ceremony.

Consul General of Pakistan in New York, Ayesha Ali, who participated in the event, congratulated Baza Roohi and her team for organizing the wonderful event, saying it is a unique event of its kind, where community members and US officials are all in one place.

Hundreds of stalls of clothes, jewelery and mehndi were set up in the event on the occasion of Moon Night, from where thousands of people shopped and women and girls also applied mehndi on their hands.

Women and children were dressed in traditional clothes, while gifts were also distributed among the women for best dressed.

Baza Roohi thanked the event attendees and US officials for attending the event. While the attendees of the event appreciated the effort of ACMW and congratulated them.
