New York: Pakistani American community’s social figure, and president of the Freedom Forum Dr. Muhammad Shafiq’s daughter Hadiya Shafiq was laid to rest at the Washington Memorial Graveyard in New York’s Long Island, amid tears and anguish.
Hadiya Shafiq was being treated at a cancer hospital in New York for the past few months. However, she could not recover and breathed her last, recently.
Her funeral prayer was performed in the local mosque.
The participants of the funeral prayer deeply expressed their heartfelt condolences to the sorrowing family and joined in their prayers for the deceased.
They prayed that May Allah Almighty take the departed soul to his Heavenly abode and give the entire family including Dr. Muhammad Shafiq the strength and courage to bear this irreparable loss.
Later, she was laid to rest at the Washington Memorial Graveyard in Long Island, New York.
