Progressive American Community Empowerment hosted an interfaith iftar dinner in New York.

New York City councilwoman Linda Lee, Consul General of Pakistan Ayesha Ali, various candidates for the primary election, social and business personalities of Pakistani-Americans, including the Sikh community, participated in the interfaith Iftar dinner hosted by PACE in the Queens, ​​New York.

Speaking to the participants, Linda Lee, the special guest and the NYC Councilwoman from 23rd District, said that New York is a very diversely beautiful mosaic of different faiths, religions, and ethnic groups, where people of all nationalities, races, and religions not only live together but also participate in each other’s festivals which is the actual beauty of the city.Consul General Ayesha Ali also expressed her views, saying that it is not only the first time in the history of New York that many Pakistanis have been involved in the political system and administration here, but it is also an excellent example for our new generation.

On this occasion, Saeed Hassan, the organizer of the event and head of PACE, said that we want Pakistanis to be more involved in the local system here.

At the end of the event, Councilwoman Linda Lee presented citations to the PACE team in recognition of their community service.
