Muslim community in New York has a huge population and serves in different fields. Their importance in politics has increased significantly in the last few years this was said by Jumaane Williams, Kashif Hussain and Antonio Reneso in an Iftar dinner at New York Public Advocate Jumaane Williams office in honor of Muslims to promote religious tolerance during Ramadan. 
The Iftar dinner was attended by a large number of Muslim community including Deputy Public Advocate Kashif Hussain and Brooklyn Borough President Antonio Reynoso.
Pakistani-American renowned personalities also attended the Iftar dinner while Muslims also offered congregational prayers in the office of Public Advocate Jumaane Williams after iftar dinner.
