The New York Police Department (NYPD), Bronx Borough Command organizes a pre Ramadhan dinner and a conference with the prescient heads and the imams of the mosques before the arrival of holy month. Large number of Community members and social figures was also attended the dinner. The event begins with the recitation of Holy Quran.
The aim of the conference dinner is to develop cooperation between people and NYPD, provision of basic necessities and solution for the problems.
NYPD officers said they would do their best to reduce the problems or inconvenience to the Muslim community.
An awareness session was held for the community on the precautionary measures taken against the recent fire incidents including parking and security arrangements around the mosques.
The Muslim community and the NYPD have reaffirmed their commitment to work together and to cooperate more effectively and efficiently.
