Farewell in honor of retire NYPD Muslim detectives.

Gifts were awarded while cash prize and other valuables also distributed among retired officers.

The Muslim Officers Society organized a grand farewell ceremony for Muslim police detectives Ahmed Naseer and Baheer Mustafa on the completion of their service and honorary shields were awarded.

President MOS and NYPD Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana, Vice President Capt. Waheed Akhtar, board members and large number of New Yorkers attended the ceremony.The ceremony begins with the recitation of Holy Quran. NYPD Chaplain Imam Tahir pronounced this farewell as the best tradition.

Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana admired the retired officers and said, Muslim police detectives Ahmed Naseer and Baheer Mustafa are the pride of the Muslim community. The people who serve others are always remembered, Rana added.

Commissioner Fred Krizman, for community affairs of NY Mayor Eric Adams said the strong role of Muslim police officers in maintaining peace and security cannot be forgotten.Senior Advisor to the NY Mayor Ahsan Chughtai also present on the occasion and appreciates the NYPD officers especially retired officers.

NYC Deputy Public Advocate Kashif Hussain said that the NYPD Muslims officers are proud of the Muslim community. The audience stood up with big hands and paid respects on the arrival of Ahmed Naseer on stage. The presence of Muslim officers in NYPD is a source of relief for all communities including Muslims, Kashif added.A check of $1000 from MOS handed over to detective Ahmed Naseer, while Ahmed said wherever I am, I will be a part of the MOS. Detective Baheer Mustafa refreshed memories and acknowledged his colleagues and said that family support is very important for the Police job.MOS member Detective Rohail Khalid announced Umrah tickets for retired officers. Coupons were also distributed among the participants.

At last there was a draw for the participants and various valuable prizes including AirPods, iPads and LED TVs awarded through lottery.

President Deputy Inspector Adeel Rana, Vice President Captain Waheed Akhtar including MOS board members have always highlighted the positive role of Muslims.
