The ICNA Relief New York City in collaboration of Comptroller Brad Lander’s Office staff organized a Winter Give Away program. Hundreds of people were provided with rations, fruits, vegetables, warm clothes and various gifts at Al Markaz e Islamic Center New York.Dozens of stalls were set up at Winter Give Away from where a variety of items were distributed to the needy.
Alia Latif of the Comptroller’s Office and local council member Natasha Williams were also present on the occasion. Moreover, State Senator John C. Liu, Leeroy Comrie, Assembly Member Alicia Hyndman, Jennifer Raj Kumar, and Queen Borough President Donovan Richard’s office staff attended the event.
According to the guests, organizations like ICNA Relief are very important for the community while Assemblywoman Natasha Williams thanked ICNA Relief and said that the organization has been serving the people for many years which are praiseworthy.
ICNA Relief Mobile Clinic were also set up a free medical camp under supervision of experienced physicians, where free Covid tests, vaccines, blood sugar tests, cholesterol tests and blood pressure tests were conducted. Free medical advice also provided to the attendees.On the occasion, Dr. Ashfaq and President ICNA Relief New York Tariq-ur-Rehman said that we are trying to help people who do not have insurance or they cannot afford these medical facilities.
Dr. Arshad Jamal of ICNA Relief North East official and in-charge of ICNA Relief Hunger Prevention program Ishaq Alpar, said that their organization has always serve’s the humanity on priority without any discrimination.
ICNA Relief has become a symbol of hope and smiles to the needy and praiseworthy for its social and welfare activities in the United States.
