Winter Storm a head off US East Coast.

Cold, heavy snow up to 9 inches and strong winds expected.

US National weather service issued a winter storm alert for Saturday morning 10am, especially for the east coast. Winter storm will develop off and the New York will get heavy snow that begins tonight.

According to National weather service 30 percent chance of snow expected on Saturday morning, mainly after 10 am. Weather is mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 while light and variable wind becoming north around 6 mph in the afternoon.

NYC’s official emergency management NYCEM also twitted a winter storm alert, more over New York Mayor Eric Adam also retweeted the alert for the safety of New Yorkers

Temperatures during the storm will be very cold, heavy snow up to 6 to 9 inches and strong winds expected.

The winter storm will mainly impact eastern Long Island, Eastern Connecticut, Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Winds over 70 mph and more than a foot of snow while blizzard conditions and severe coastal flooding will also be an alarm for East coast.

Moreover travel advisory is also issued for weekend travelers during the storm. Wind damage and power outages in these areas are also expected due to heavy winter storm.
