500 homes burn to ground, no casualties reported.

Devastating wildfires engulfed Colorado, 40 miles northwest of Denver on Thursday. Wildfire forcing tens of thousands of people to evacuate their homes and burning at least 500 homes.
Authorities believe downed power lines could be behind the blazes, which began Thursday morning before spreading across the suburban neighborhoods, destroying 1,600 acres.

No deaths or major injuries have been reported, but Colorado Governor Jared Polis declared a state of emergency to get resources faster to the affected areas.
