Here Are All the 2021 American Music Awards Winners

Taylor Swift broke her own record and BTS had a huge night at Sunday's American Music Awards.

The 2021 American Music Awards honor artists in various genres, as well as New Artist of the Year and Collaboration of the Year. The full list of winners according to the American Music Awards (AMAs) has officially been announced and fans are already in frenzy over the news. The list this year has a lot of strong contenders with artists like The Weeknd bagging over six nominations, including the title of Artist of the Year.

According to USA Today,  at the 2021 American Music Awards on Sunday night, Nov 21, South Korean boys group BTS swept their categories, taking home three prizes, including artist of the year. The boy band from South Korea ended the show performing their AMA-winning hit “Butter” and won every award for which they were nominated favorite pop duo or group (for the third time in a row), a favorite pop song (“Butter”), and the coveted artist of the year award (for the first time).

Taylor Swift broke her own record when she won favorite female pop artist for the seventh time and topped her previous record for most AMA wins of all time. Swift also won for the best pop album “evermore” during the show and now has 34 AMA trophies.

The night’s top nominee Olivia Rodrigo, who had the most AMA nominations of the night with seven, won new artist of the year.

Ed Sheeran won favorite male pop artist while Drake and Megan Thee Stallion won the favorite male and female hip-hop artists. Collaboration of the year award goes to Doja Cat ft. SZA, “Kiss Me More”, And Favorite Music Video award for Lil Nas X “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)”, Favorite inspirational artist Carrie Underwood and last but not the least Favorite dance/electronic artist award was given to Marshmello.
