The PAYO (Pakistani American Youth Organization) held a food pantry expansion and has once again inaugurated community fridge in Brooklyn. The ceremony began with a recitation of Holy Quran.
PAYO President Waqeel Ahmed, along with Special Guest Consul General Ayesha Ali and US officials, cut the ribbon and inaugurated the community refrigerator.
US officials praised the welfare activities of Pakistani youth. City Council members, Democrats and Republicans have said Pakistanis are the best example of services to humanity.
While addressing the occasion, Consul General Ayesha Ali has said that the youth of PAYO are proud of Pakistan. Waqeel Ahmed said that refrigerator was stolen two months ago, but we re-opened once again facility of community refrigerator through fund raising.
The opening of community refrigerator was attended by a large number of needy people who benefited from the food pantry. Payo also distributes halal turkey meat on the occasion of Thanksgiving Day.
