Blast in Kabul Leaves Seven Dead, 22 Injured

KABUL: A huge blast in Afghanistan’s capital city Kabul has killed at least seven people and left 22 others injured on Friday noon, Afghan media reported.

According to Interior Ministry of Afghanistan, the blast took place some 300 meters far from Mosalla-e-Mazari area in Kabul’s PD6.

TOLONews report suggests that the blast happened close to a ceremony on the death anniversary of Abdul Ali Mazari, the slain leader of the Islamic Unity Party of Afghanistan.

He said the blast killed 7 people, but TOLONews reported via its sources that at least 10 people have died so far in the blast; and a rise in casualties is expected.
