A prominent social and literary figure Dr. Muhammad Shafiq Khattak, of the Pakistani American community in New York. His youngest and only son’s Rehan Gul Shafiq, passed away two days ago.
Funeral prayers were offered at the Hillside Islamic Center in the presence of a large number of local dignitaries and members of the community. Every eye was teared on the occasion. Later, He was buried in the Washington Memorial Cemetery on Long Island.
The community has expressed deep sorrow and grief to Dr. Shafiq over the death of his young son. The entire Pakistani community prayed for the forgiveness of the late Rehan Gul Shafiq and may Allah grant Dr. Shafiq patience.
