KARACHI: Pakistan’s social media activist and head of Civil Progressive Alliance Pakistan (CPAP) Samar Abbas has returned home, confirmed family.
Abbas remained ‘missing’ for over a year since January 17 last year when a wave of ‘disappearances’ of social media activist, who are allegedly involved in spreading blasphemous content, started.
“He has returned home,” Talib Abbas, a member of CPAP, confirmed to The Express Tribune. “He is safe.”
According to Rashid Rizvi of the Shia missing persons release committee, unidentified persons left a blindfolded Abbas near Sohrab Goth. “He returned home himself,” he told The Express Tribune. “He is mentally and physically exhausted.”
