A Pakistani festival was held after a long break at Bill Run Park in Virginia to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day and Defense Day, thousands of people, including US officials and Pakistani Ambassador Asad Majeed Khan was attended the festival.Pakistanis living in the US were concerned for such an event due to Corona pandemic restrictions and but after eases in Covid-19 SOP’s, thousands of Pakistanis from different states flocked to Virginia, people had a lot of fun with their families.
Different Stalls were setup in the festival, Pakistani clothes, shoes, jewelry and dishes stalls were the center of attraction where people were busy in shopping,
while Pakistani artists warmed up the atmosphere with their performances. A large number of children also participated in the Independence Festival waving green crescent flags.
While addressing the participants, Ambassador of Pakistan Dr. Asad Majeed Khan said that Pakistanis live in US but their heart beats with their homeland Pakistan.
American officials participating in the festival also expressed their views, and said that Pakistanis are lively nation; they celebrate any festival, cultural or national day with zeal and enthusiasm.
According to the festival organizers, such events are important for uniting the Pakistani community and there is also an opportunity to promote Pakistani culture in US.
