Hurriyat leader Syed Ali Gillani passes away after long illness and house arrest.

A Vetran Kashmiri freedom movement, former chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Confe­rence (APHC) and resistance leader Syed Ali Shah Gillani passed away in the Indian-occupied Kashmir city of Srinagar. He had been under house arrest for many years, Kashmir Media Service.

According to Kashmir Media Service, funeral prayers of 92 year old veteran leader will be offered on Thursday. May Allah forgive him and raises his ranks.

The Hurriyet urged people of the Valley to attend the funeral.

The Hurriyet also issued a statement and said that for last few days, chest infection of Gillani was not responding to the ongoing treatment.
