Pakistani community meet-and-greet with candidates Ray Terney, and Ed Smith.

Long Island socialite Bashir Qamar hosted a meet-and-greet event at his residence, with New York’s Suffolk County District Attorney candidate, Ray Terney, and Ed Smith, candidate for supervisory seat from Huntington Town. The event began with the performance of Pakistani and American national anthems.

PACOLI President Asim Malik, social activists Nadeem Wamiq and Tanveer Chaudhry introduced Ray Terney and Ed Smith to the Pakistani community and thanked them. According to PACOLI president, “we hope both candidates, if elected, will work for welfare and help Muslim community and deal with the problems faces by the community”.

Speaking at the event, Ray Terney and Ed Smith thanked host Bashir Qamar for the opportunity to meet with the Pakistani community.

In a question and answer session with the participants,

candidates said that if elected, they would end discrimination, hate crimes against Muslims and create employment opportunities, especially for small businesses holders and immigrants. And will play a special role in solving important problems of the community.

At last, Qamar Bashir thanked participants individually for their participation.
