Sikhs protested in front of Indian Consulate in New York against the Modi government and observed Indian Independence Day as a black day. Sikhs hold Khalistan flags, banners and demanding independence in the protest.

On the occasion, the protesters expressed solidarity with the oppressed Kashmiris and also raised voices for them.
The demonstrators said that UN and the entire international community should play their role in resolving the Kashmir issue and Khalistan issue on priority basis.
