While talking with VOSA Tv, Syed Mir Hussain Shah Chishti, head of the organization, said that agreement to buy the church was made and deal was finalized on $825,000, for which 625,000 has been raised through donations. He appealed to the Muslim community to contribute in the construction of the mosque.
Syed Amir Hussain Shah has rented a place for a mosque in the same area where regular daily prayers were offered but he wants the mosque to be community own property for Muslims so that no one is afraid of eviction.
