Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front held Wahdat Kashmir Convention in New York in which members were also elected for the new cabinet. Khawaja Saifuddin took oath as the new cabinet Central Convener of Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front-JKLF.
In the new cabinet, Haleem Khan and Ashraf Gul elected as general secretaries. Dawood Maqsood elected as senior vice president, Raja Mukhtar as vice president, Chaudhry Iftikhar as chief organizer, Arshad Mahmood as press secretary and Manzoor Khan, Ishrat Hussain. Prof. Zafar Khan, Head of Diplomatic Department of the Convention and Naseem Iqbal Advocate, Central Leader addressed via video link.
The chief guest of the convention, Sardar Anwar Advocate, former head of the political wing of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation, said that the issue of Kashmir’s independence was not only a religious or border dispute but also an issue of historical and cultural independence of the Kashmiri nation. The international community should make a practical effort to resolve the Kashmir issue on the basis of human rights.
Resolution of Kashmir issue would enable lasting peace in the region and open new avenues of prosperity, Sardar Anwar Advocate added.
While addressing the newly elected members of the Cabinet, Advocate. said that you are the ambassador of your nation to the United States so play your role in the campaign of Save Jammu and Kashmir and Save Yasin Malik.
