USA Cricket Premier League and New Jersey Cricket Council kicks off the fifth season of Ten Night Cricket Bash. The grand opening ceremony was held at the Capelli Sports Complex in New Jersey. Former ICC Elite Panel and internationally acclaimed former umpire Steve Buckner formally announces the start of competitions at the opening ceremony.
Seventeen best teams have been selected for the fifth season under the supervision of International Cricket Council (ICC) qualified coach and Certified Umpire Mudassar Safdar. The final of the Night Cricket League will be played in July.
Earlier, all the players and spectators observed a minute of silence for the victims of Covid 19, after which the national anthem was played.
Malik Salman of Trenton Halal Packaging, Jawad Mir, head of the American Premier League, community leaders Kamran Khan, Faisal Khan, Nick Saleem, Imran Khan, Farooq Chauhan and other guests attended the grand opening ceremony.
Earlier, the final of the Ten 10 Ramadan Champions Challenge Cup tournament was played. There were tough matches between 24 teams from seven states. The final was played between New Jersey’s Pak Kashmir and New York’s Yankees Eagles. Pak-Kashmir Yankees beat Eagles to win this year’s Ramadan Cricket Tournament.
Pak Kashmir Club captain Imtiaz Ahmed received the championship trophy.
Tahir Riaz was declared the man of the match. Awards and trophies were distributed among the players of both the teams for their individual performance.
Congratulating the winning team, Mudassar Safdar said that New Jersey Pak-Kashmir youth team deserved the victory as they played the best cricket in the entire tournament. He also praise to the players for playing standard cricket.
According to Mudassar Safdar, a colorful function was held here today in the presence of all the participating teams in connection with the start of the fifth season which is a very good and healthy activity. He appealed to the people to come and watch the competition with their children and families.
In the end, the team captains expressed their views and congratulated Mudassar Safdar and his team for organizing the best tournament. All the valuable guests also thanked the organizers and expressed their best wishes for the USA Cricket Premier League.
