Pakistani American Community Excellence- PACE, hosts Iftar Dinner to Introduce Christians the Importance and Philosophy of Ramadan. Awards were also distributed among various personalities participating in the Iftar dinner.
New York Assemblyman Phil Ramos and Pakistani Consul General Ayesha Ali invited as special guests and graced the occasion.
At the beginning of the ceremony, Maulana Amin-ur-Rehman briefed the Christian community about the virtues of Ramadan.
Addressing the event, Saeed Hassan, head of the PACE, said his organization wanted to promote harmony between all religions and nationalities.
Meanwhile, Sidrah Siddiqui of the Pakistani community also shared the aims and objectives and interfaith harmony of the event with the organization.
Pronto’s executive director, Mark Seto, and Assemblyman Phil Ramos also spoke at the event, expressing their views and praising Pease’s move to unite Muslims and Christians.
At the end of the ceremony, the Assemblyman presented awards in recognition of his services to prominent personalities of the community, while the Pakistani American Community Excellence presented her with honorary awards in gratitude to the administration of Assembly Woman, Consul General, Pronto.
