SHARJAH: Imran Tahir of Multan Sultans bagged a hat-trick in a Saturday’s PSL 2018 match that saw the complete collapse of Quetta Gladiators’ batting lineup.
This was the second hattrick for PSL 3. Junaid Khan of the same team has also taken a hat-trick against ’s Lahore Qalandars.
With this hat-trick, Imran Tahir is now the leading wicket-taker of HBL PSL 2018.
The newest franchise of the league gave a stern response to Quetta Gladiators’ batting lineup, who were unable to last for long on the crease.
Their final five wickets came along with the addition of just one run in their score.
Sohail Tanveer grabbed two wickets before Imran Tahir put a nail in the coffin of Gladiators by taking out the last three in a row.
He finished the match with 3-19 while Sohail Tanveer gave 3-14.
Multan Sultans chased the target of 102 by scoring 108 runs and nine wickets in hand.
Sangakkara scored 51 runs and remained not out for the victors.
With this victory, Sultans are now sitting atop of the rankings along with the Karachi Kings with seven points while Quetta tumbled down the fifth spot with four points.
