First Inning – As It Happened

With Fakhar Zaman’s fiery start, Qalandars scored 44 runs in 5th over. That was when Brandon McCullum fell prey to a steep bouncer from Hassan Ali. He scored 15 runs from 15 balls.

All Peshawar Zalmi needed was, this one wicket. From 44/0, Lahore slumped to 73/5, losing five wickets inside 30 runs.

Fakhar Zaman (30), Dinesh Ramdin (0) and Agha Salman (12) and Sohail Akhter (11) were the wickets to fall in the process.

Liam Dawson was the man behind the collapse of Lahore’s batting. He removed Fakhar, Ramdin and Sohail Akhter.

Umar Akmal was the last hope for Qalandars, he got run out while trying to take the strike from Sohail Khan. He could only add 15 runs to the total.

Sohail also departed after his 5 runs in the next over, leaving Lahore Qalandars reeling at 99/8 in 17th over.

There was no coming back from there.
