PSL 2018: Daren Sammy Wins it for Peshawar Zalmi

SHARJAH: Peshawar Zalmi skipper Daren Sammy pulls out a thriller against Quetta Gladiators in the tenth game of the HBL PSL 2018 at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, UAE.

In response to Quetta’s 142-run target, Zalmi lost early wickets. But, Hafeez (29) and Tamim Iqbal (36) gave Zalmi a respite, before losing the plot again in the later part of the innings.

Zalmi chased down the target on the third last ball of the inning, winning it by five wickets.

The next ball was short on middle stump, a slower one, but Sammy swivelled it over deep backward square for a HUGE six. That sent shockwaves across the Quetta dug out.

Zalmi now needed 3 off the 4 balls, the next ball was a mishit, he chose not to run for that and swing it away on next.

Anwer Ali’s next ball was full on off stump, he drilled it down the ground for FOUR! That’s it.
