The Pakistani American Youth Organization, PAYO, has launched a new series of weekly food pantries in collaboration with the Iqra Masjid in Brooklyn
This food pantry was started after Friday prayers and now it is started after every Friday prayers. The food pantry benefited hundreds of needy fresh fruits, vegetables, halal meats and various food items.
Imam Ahmad Ali of the Muslim community was also present on the food pantry, he praised PAYO’s philanthropic and humanitarian initiatives and said that despite heavy snowfall, the spirit of PAYO team volunteers to help those in need has not weakened. These young people are always trying to project a positive image of Pakistanis and Muslims in America.
