President Trump has filed a petition in Supreme Court against Pennsylvania election results, he requested in petition that there are many irregularities in votes cast by mail. The court, therefore, allowed Pennsylvania General Assembly to elect state electors.
President Trump’s lawyer Rudy Giuliani told media that petition also called for a halt to appointment of pro-Biden electors. In addition, the petitioner has requested a hearing before January 6 in view of the importance of the petition.
According to experts, Supreme Court is unlikely to overturn Pennsylvania’s election results, but even if it did, it would not affect the overall election results and newly elected President Biden will be the winner.
Democrat Joe Biden defeated Trump in recent presidential election with 306 electoral votes and will take the oath of office next month.
