Indian Mortar Shelling Kills One on LoC: Pakistan

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan authorities said on Saturday that unprovoked Indian firing and mortar shelling on the Line of Control (LoC) has killed one and injured three.

According to Pakistan Army’s media wing ISPR, India has been continuously targeting civilian areas along the LoC. In a recent attack, M Farooq Ali Akbar, a resident of Thurti Narr Village fell prey to a mortar fired from Indian troops in Nikayal sector.

Three more civilians were injured. They were evacuated to Tehsil Headquarter Hospital (THQ) Nakiyal.

In a befitting response, the Pakistan Army targeted Indian posts that initiated the fire.

On Friday, Inzamam Amin, a resident of village Tetrinote was martyred in the Batal sector of the region.

He was targeted by Indian troops while he worked at a crush plant on the banks of River Poonch
