The day dawned with a 31-gun salute in the federal capital and 21-gun salute in provincial capitals, followed by Mehafil-e-Naat, seerat conferences, and fireworks.

Special conferences, events and Mehfil-e-Milad are being arranged to pay respect to the last messenger whose life and teachings are beacon of light for the whole mankind.
In connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi Peace be upon him (PBUH) , a National Rehmatul-lil-Alameen Peace be upon him (PBUH) Conference will be held in Islamabad today under the auspices of the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The opening session of the conference will be chaired by President Dr. Arif Alvi while Prime Minister Imran Khan will preside over the concluding session.
Special prayers are offered on this day in mosques after Fajr prayers, for the unity of Muslim Ummah and progress and prosperity of the country and upholding and flourishing Islam and religious teachings, unity, solidarity, progress, and welfare of the Muslim Ummah.
Meanwhile, streets, bazaars, shopping centers, and government and non government buildings have already been beautifully decorated and brightened with lights, color’s, and banners bearing writings about the celebration of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (Peace Be Upon Him).
Earlier the Ministry of Interior has issued a notification on 26th October 2020, in this respect, which reads, “It is notified for general information that Friday 30th October 2020 shall be a public holiday on the occasion of Eid Milad un Nabi (12th Rabi ul Awal 1442 AH) throughout the country.”
