
PESHAWAR: A blast ripped through Pakistan’s city Peshawar’s Ring Road area injuring at least three people as per initial reports.
The blast targeted a government vehicle in Dir Colony of Ring Road.
According to Pakistani media, eyewitnesses claim to see a motorcycle near the vehicle before to the explosion took place.
Police official Shahzada Kokab Farooq stated the explosive device was planted on a motorcycle parked near the car, adding that the plot may have been to blow up a government official’s car.
He further stated that the said motorcycle belonged to a government official.
“Bomb blast occurred near Deputy Director PDMA Shakeel Khan’s official vehicle,” the PDMA spokesperson said, adding that the director and his assistant were safe.
