Lahore Qalandars Call Ramdin to Cover Lynn’s Absence

DUBAI: Lahore Qalandars have announced West Indian wicket-keeper batsman Dinesh Ramdin as a cover for injured Chris Lynn for the first few games.

Ramdin, who was earlier supposed to join the team on March 1 as a cover for Bangladesh’s Mustafizur Rehman, will now join on Friday.

He has been named a temporary replacement for swashbuckling Australian opener Christopher Lynn, who has been ruled out of the tournament with a shoulder injury.

Lynn, while attempting a dive to stop the ball in the final of the trans-Tasman series against New Zealand on Wednesday, got his shoulder dislocated.

He was immediately sent off the field and did not return to bat. Australia won the game, but Lynn lost the chance to play PSL.

He was sent to Brisbane for further tests.

Doctors say he might not be available for the PSL games, but the Qalandars management is still hoping to have him for the knockout stage.

That is why they still not announced a permanent replacement for him.

However, a final decision will be made after his MRI reports.
