12 Dead After Building Collapses Following Cylinder Blast In Uttar Pradesh, India

At least 12 people died on Monday after a two-storey building collapsed following a cylinder blast in Uttar Pradesh’s Mohammadabad, Mau district of India.

Many people are feared to be trapped, according to the local administration.  A cylinder exploded inside a two-storey house in Mau’s Mohammadabad area. So strong was the impact of the blast that the building came crashing down.

Meanwhile, 6 people who are injured are undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.

A rescue operation is on at the site of the collapsed house to check if people are trapped in the debris. Ambulances and a huge crowd gathered at the site.

The death toll could climb as several people are feared to be trapped inside the building.

Condoling the deaths, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has asked the district officials to ensure that the injured and families of those who have died get all the help.
