Suicide Attackers Hits Regions of Afghanistan, Kills Dozens

A powerful suicide truck bombing  outside a hospital in the capital of  Zabul province . killing at least 20 people and wounding more than 90 others, an official said.

The Taliban took responsibility for the attack, which destroyed part of the hospital in Qalat, the capital of southern Zabul province, and left a fleet of ambulances broken and battered.

People who  had come to see their sick family members, used shawls and blankets to carry the wounded inside the destroyed building, while authorities scrambled to take the worst of the wounded to hospitals in nearby Kandahar.

Meanwhile, a  suicide attack was followed by a gun battle at an identity card distribution center in Afghanistan’s Jalalabad city on Wednesday, an official said.

An explosion at the front gate of the compound cleared the way for multiple attackers to enter the compound Wednesday afternoon, according to a n official.

The Afghan forces put an end to a  multi-pronged attack  by a group of armed men on distribution center of Electronic National Identity Cards.

The provincial government said in a statement that the security forces eliminated all 3 assailants involved in the attack.

The local Azadi Radio reported at least 10 people, including women and children, were injured in the attack.

While, the provincial government said the security forces rescued at least 50 workers from the compound.
